Visible trail in the Savanna
From BearWiki
Claim: A trail is visible as Bear hikes across the Savanna.
As Bear walks across the Savanna, he travels alongside (and eventually parts from) what clearly looks like a foot trail.[1]
[edit] Analysis
Oppose: Trails are trails. Animals make them. People make them. So what? They usually provide the most direct and easiest route.
Oppose: Foot trails extend for hundreds of miles across land often not used on a weekly or even monthly basis. Given the dry spells of such an area, trails last for extended periods of time. Later in the show, Bear also displays the congregation of several game trails when he discovers water. They are ubiquitous; doesn't mean safety though.
Oppose: Trails were addressed on the episode, where Bear states that one can follow a trail for miles and go in circles. Game trails are a poor indicator of direction.
Oppose: It's a game trail; I know as I was there.
- Neutral: And you are? It's hard to take claims from anonymous individuals seriously. If you have verifiable credentials, please list them in your user page. A good example of doing this is User:Volcanochaser. If you can demonstrate that you are a member of the cast or crew, or a local or regional expert, or can provide solid evidence to back up your statement, please list that information -- we'd likely close this claim as "disproven". Otherwise, it's just a claim by an anonymous London broadband user's home IP address (80.195.231.181).
Support: those are tire marks.
"Oppose:" it is a game trail. its probably from some kind of deer or something like that. that is in no way at all tire marks. its is one single trail and has no visible evidence of being made by any kind of machine. and dont you think they would notice if he was walking on a freakin trail from a truck.
Support: Given his tendency to never stray too far away from a road or eventhe parking lot, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was a road with tire marks. I don't think it's an issue of the crew noticing the tire marks as much as not caring that there are tire marks.
Support: I never saw the episode, I don't think it's a tire trail though only looks like one. Though it could be a dirt bike path or something. It does look like a well traveled path or other type of trail. From what I can make out in the picture it looks pretty worn down and established.
Oppose: This one looks like pure speculation to me. It could be a game trail. There are plenty of verifiable complaints without resorting to this kind of speculation on the nature of terrain features.
