WOW are you a math major?
CS. But my partner is a math major. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for both of us. :) -- Rei 00:17, 19 July 2007 (CDT)
[edit] Check this out
I'm trying to put all this information on Wikipedia, but it seems that people don't do it right. They don't cite reliabe sources and other things. At the end, all gets removed.
I'm trying to do this right before posting it. Please response.--200.112.136.133 22:29, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
- We used to have a lot of this stuff there, but there were a few people who were policy nazis and used a very strict definition of "Original Research" to claim that if the source says, "X is wrong", but it doesn't say, "Bear is wrong when he says X", then it's "Original Research / Synthesis of original ideas" to use as a cite for the article. Which is utter nonsense.
- If you would be willing to back up my edits when they invariably roll them back, I'll put it back in. While I've gotten a lot of support for having the section, nobody has as-of-yet volunteered to counter when Tao and UBeR invariably delete the section, and I don't want to be the only person reverting the rollbacks of two people. -- Rei 10:04, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
- Don't worry, you'll have all the support from me I can give. It's just very sad how people won't see this things. Let's just try to do this in the best way we can.
- Even if we can post something about a minor thing, would be great. I mean, this information has been on news sites. That can help us, maybe.--200.112.145.57 15:27, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
- A good example of what should be put back in the article can be found here[1]. Still, with just two people -- I think we'd need one more before I'd be comfortable against the prospect of a revert war against them (which they'd certainly raise if we put this back in). -- Rei 15:46, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
- That is a good information, but it is "original search". Just like they said. What can be good, if something like this:
===Survival techniques===
* Drinking his own urine: beside Bear managed to avoid dehydration using this technique, (something about a medical or health institution backed up from some goverment say it's a bad thing to do)...
- Anyways, you get the idea. But, if we could reason to some people we would have much support.--200.112.145.57 15:59, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
