[edit] Personal Experience Used In References
Paleolithic cordage production: Have made cordage from a variety of natural fibers and extensively researched methods used. Will put pictures and videos up if anyone needs them. Favorite cordage fibers: of all things, corn husks. Not the silk, nor the tough outer husks, but the thin inner husks. They make for a strong, very soft, springy, water-resistant rope with a nice pale color. Hard to find commercial rope like it. If I ever get really bored, perhaps I'll make a hammock out of it. :)
