Confirmed: The show uses literal scripts that cover everything that will happen in a given episode.
In yet another expose to strike the show, it is revealed that the show uses literal scripts that cover the complete show. In the Rocky Mountains episode, for example, Bear's encounter with a fake grizzly bear that was actually a man in costume was titled, "Scene 10 - Grizzly Attacks Camp."
[edit] Analysis
Support: This would support the STORY BOOK PROGRESSION of every episode. And the inane stunts every week - only a clueless script writer could come up with most of those things.
Support: (from the Disco forum by Jeremiah Johnson) "I do know that they cut a lot of stuff out of the Utah script. I am guessing it was just a rough draft that my friend/boss was mailed. There was going to be a wind storm and in the script it said they would bring in high powered fans. There was also going to be a flash flood and the script said they would bring in water tankers for that. They were going to have my friend bring up a barrel cactus so he could drink from a cactus. There aren't any growing in the area so he would bring one up from Arizona. He eventually told them that he wasn't interested because he was busy moving his family into his new home and he was turned off by the script. It was good money and he wanted to be able to do it. If they do another one in the southwest he might get asked to come out again."
