All very sad

Wow! Sorry to see you're so hurt. Understand, 99% of Bear's "decisions" aren't his own. Producers make the world go round in TV land. If your beef is with the details listed, at least aim it at the right people. TV stars/shows all require insurance. This is a sad reality beyond anyones control. Has it crossed your mind that maybe the insurance providers are placing the demands of rope...aide...extra crew? No insurance = no show. Guides before and during? Who cares!? Survivor man does the same...you know insurance requires it...a local expert will always know more than the general practitioner. All said and done, it allows for a better show.

Again, I understand you are bothered...but you are taking it way too far and are not looking at the reality of it all. TV is not real...even reality. If you can't accept this, then don't watch. The rest of us realize it is about entertainment...and this show pulls that much off.

~~I find it hilarious how many people are upset by the fact that Bear doesn't do everything in his shows, such as staying the night outside in the huts he builds. He doesn't need to. He's just showing you how. No one is going to agree 100 percent of the time, but Bear does a pretty good job of atleast giving you a chance of getting your ass out alive.

See Bad Advice and Inaccuracies. -- Rei 10:45, 3 December 2007 (CST)

Not all of the advice on the show is bad; some techniques shown are good, some a little less practical.

But its really about entertainment; face it. Its like professional wrestling. People who watch it really know what they are watching. Its reality Television; and about as "real" as any other reality TV Show.

A whole website dedicated to demonstrating this fact? Really; of course its not "REAL". I Think someone needs a more constructive hobby, in all honesty.

And of course, you claim that "of course it's not real", yet you'll find the site full of comments from "true believers" who insist that it is. Hence, one of the main reasons for the existence of this site. -- Rei 11:33, 5 December 2007 (CST)
