No evidence of log jam debris
From BearWiki
Claim: The "log jam" that Bear swims under is unnatural -- dense debris above the waterline, no debris below it, but lit from above with no shadows.
The water under the debris jam in the slot canyon show no visible signs of the debris above him. The water is well lit from above. There are no shadows cast from the debris. In addition, when Bear emerges from the far side of the debris jam, the water is only barely above his ankles. A camera man was already on the exit filiming Bear emerge from the water. Despite the dense debris supposedly above him, there is no debris below, implying that the debris decided to form only a perfect roof that just happened to be at the level of the (temporary) waterline.
The suspicion is that this scene was shot in a different area with open water.
[edit] Analysis
Support: Not only is swimming under a debris jam dangerously bad advice, the filming and editing of the scene is poorly done.
