Impossible camera angles
From BearWiki
Claim: The camera angles belie the presented narrative.
In most episodes, camera discontinuities with the presented narrative can be observed. That is, to say, when accidents or unexpected happenings occur, the camera crew is already in place to capture them. Example (above): Bear, supposedly fleeing from a grizzly during the Rocky Mountains episode, leaps off a cliff because there supposedly isn't time to climb down. The camera crew, on the other hand, must have descended to capture the shot.
[edit] Analysis
Oppose: Let say for arguments sake, that he actually did run from a grizzly bear and jumped off that cliff and the camera didn't catch it. Wouldn't he be well within his "legit" status to tape himself jumping off that cliff as a reenactment for the sake of TV? Also, its not impossible for it to be a 100% legit camera shot, its just unlikely.
Support: Apparently the camera crew missed a lot of the shots that had to be reenacted. For example, using a tame horse to reenact the taming of the wild horse, giving him a domesticated rabbit to reenact catching a wild rabbit, giving him a fish to reenact spearing a fish, using fog machines to reenact going through volcanic gasses, using charcoal to reenact walking on lava, taping 99% percent of the Kilauea episode by the side of the road because they missed the shots in the back country, etc, etc.
To be Fair: when he found that cliff he wasn't chased by from a bear.. At that point he awaited to jump,so one of the cameraman could go there.. It's all in the editing
