Climbing feats far beyond an inexperienced person's capability

Claim: Bear frequently makes use of climbing feats far beyond an inexperienced person's capability as a solution to problems instead of solutions that could realistically be used in a survival situation.

While he may not be a very good pilot, there are few who would doubt that Bear is an excellent rock climber and is in great physical shape. Throughout Man vs Wild, he relies on difficult (or impossible) "free climbs" (which actually aren't free climbs, as he has been caught over and over using gear: see Climbing harness and rope visible in canyon ascent, Climbing harness visible on the waterfall climb, etc) to get from one place to another rather than going around. He constantly pushes a sense of urgency concerning moving as fast as possible, which is entirely against standard survival advice, which advises caution and planning, as well as staying where you are, giving viewers the incorrect notion that haste and risk-taking are critical in wilderness survival.

Bear advocates climbs that even he himself isn't willing to do without safety gear. Some, such as climbing down waterfalls, would be essentially suicide even for an expert climber without gear. This is dangerous.

[edit] Analysis

Support: While many if not most viewers may realize that trying to climb things that Bear does is a bad idea, many won't, or will think that even though they're not good climbers, it's their only option in a survival situation. He's going to get someone killed.

Support: According to a review of recent information by Backpacker Magazine, unprotected falls are one of the main reasons for fatalities in the outdoors. People either climb higher than their ability allows, or try to down-climb slopes that are too steep. All it takes after that is exhaustion and gravity.
