Bathing in the same water that you drink

Claim: If you've found a source of fresh water, don't contaminate it by bathing in it.

In the Kimberley, Australia episode, Bear rinses his hair straight into his just-found source of freshwater. Bathing in your drinking water is never advisable, from a health-and-hygene standpoint.

[edit] Analysis

Oppose: In this episode Bear only drinks water from natural springs, along with his own urine, he never drinks from any rivers he bathes in.

Support: Even if true (see below), it's a really, really stupid thing to do. This is categorized under bad advice, and opposing it doesn't make it less so.
Oppose: Isn't it common sense to boil any water you find regardless? If you're fool enough to drink water without boiling it first, not only do you have bigger problems than where you bathe, but you probably deserve to be naturally selected out of humanity.

Support: Incorrect. Bear rinses his hair straight into the water he fills his canteen from.

Oppose: It was moving water.

Support: Yeah, just like the "moving water" that he thought would be OK to drink in the Amazon. You know, the moving water that made him sick and vomit.

Oppose: We regularly bathe in the water we drink from in Australia when we go bush. You just do not piss in it or near it, or shit near it.

Neutral: Whether or not the water is good to drink is irrelevant to the original claim. Personal history is also irrelevant to the original claim. No real evidence or citations has been provided.
